“We are incredibly grateful for the EITC funding support that we receive, which allows us to continue supporting and developing the arts in our community. Susquehanna Community Bank’s generosity and philanthropy helps to support the creation of unique experiences for children and youth throughout Lycoming and neighboring counties, and allows those children the opportunity for experiences that they might not otherwise have access to,” said Jim Dougherty, executive director of the CAC.Annually since 2007, the Community Arts Center has been able to provide thousands of students access to exceptional arts programming that enhances the classroom curriculum of nine school districts across a multicounty geographic reach in Northcentral Pennsylvania. The programming also supports and enhances local district curriculums by providing instructors with supporting resources and lesson plans that encourage artifact building by their students.

“The support the Community Arts Center receives from the business community allows us to engage the youth in these enriching ways, and for many it is also the first time they attend a live professional performance,” said Ana Gonzalez-White, college relations officer in charge of development for the CAC. “I thank Susquehanna Community Bank for their contribution.”

Susquehanna Community Bank is proud to donate $10,000.00 to Warrior Run Community Education Foundation for the First Century Capital Campaign. This donation sponsored the new Elementary School main office. The First Century Capital Campaign goal is to get Warrior Run School District through its first one hundred years by offering the most effective educational experiences possible. Warrior Run Community Education Foundation believes that each generation of children require new skills and opportunities. The Foundation is working to help provide opportunities for future generations of students.

NAMI, North Central Pennsylvania, is an amazing organization the benefits everyone in our local communities. They are dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with mental illness and their families through support, education and advocacy. Susquehanna Community Bank supports NAMI because we want to help our family friends and neighbors succeed. To anyone struggling with mental illness know you are not alone, and you have resources. We encourage people to learn more about NAMI and their amazing work for the community.

Susquehanna Community Bank is proud to be able to donate these shirts to all the Harvest Festival Princess Pageant contestants, made by our local business Jordanna Adams. Good luck to all these lovely ladies. We all know the hard work and dedication that goes into being a contestant and also being a part of the staff that puts this event on. We hope that it is an amazing and fulfilling experience for all involved in this Pageant.

Children’s Area

On April 15th the W.B. Konkle Memorial Library had an open house, to showcase their new and improved library. They went through six years of planning, fundraising and construction to get to where they are now. Susquehanna Community Bank is very proud to have been a part of this project. Our Donations went to the improvement of the children’s area within the library. We hope that the local communities take full advantage of this new and improved library.

Susquehanna Community Bank is proud to recognize Haven Ministry Center for all that it does. Haven Ministry is a non-profit in Sunbury that provide emergency shelter and support for individuals and families in Northumberland, Snyder, and Union County.

Susquehanna Community Bank is proud to have sponsored the Warrior Run Stock Market Game for over 10 years.  This year’s award was presented to Ian Riddell, the first-place winner in the Middle School Division of the Daily Item challenge for Northumberland County.  Ian was presented with a Chromebook provided through the Pennsylvania Council of Financial Literacy.

Susquehanna Community Bank has made a third Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program donation to the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation to assist with the dual enrollment program at the college.

The bank’s $1,000 EITC donation will benefit the Penn College NOW dual enrollment program, which enables academically qualified high school and career technology center students to take tuition-free courses for college credit. In 2020-21, 1,512 students from 47 high schools and career and technology centers earned more than 5,600 credits valued at more than $3.3 million through Penn College NOW.

“We are pleased once again to partner with the Penn College Foundation to support the innovative program, Penn College NOW,” said Mike Loeh, Vice President/Commercial Relationship Manager for Susquehanna Community Bank. “The program offers a vital opportunity for students to earn college credits that will help them build momentum toward careers that provide family-sustaining wages and career growth opportunities. As a bank we are fully committed to the communities that Penn College serves and this program is one that we are proud to participate in.”
